--you must recieve the gold cup the 150cc class. The exception of these is Toads Turnpike.
Turbo Start
At the very end of the second light--as it dims--press the A button.
all courses have a ghost, for your ghost race in under:

Banana Trick
When you hit a banana peel put on your brakes immediately, this will prevent skidding. After 1 second release and give her the gas. This is really helpful because you wont LOSE AN ORB.
Drafting Trick
When driving, if you can get directly behind a racer for a short time, you'll see air come off of both sides of your kart, and you'll get a short outburst of speed.
Essential Short-cuts
There are many shortcuts, most of which are easily found and executed. But even the most obvious ones
are easily overseen, I realize many have not been listed here, but I believe these are the real key shavers.
1. Noku Noku Beach
The waterfall: Just aim into the cave, use jump, do not hit the walls, and jump right out from under the waterfall.
2. Hydro Pond (the ghost house)
Upon entering the ghost house, take a right, but not to sharp. Instead of aiming toward the bats, aim slightly left and pass on the left side of the wooden pole.
Jump over the edge of the star-shaped pool.
3. Rainbow Road
Right at the start of the race there is a large hill. Oftentimes if you're aiming too far left or right you'll fly off the course. Just as the slope begins to desend, press jump and you'll fly much higher and farther than ever
4. Yoshi Valley
Follow the course until you hit the mazy part, immediately go left and stay left. After, you'll hit a little checkered ledge, and
you'll see a big red and white sign on the left pointing to the right. This part is hard, accelerate as fast as possible
staying to the right. As soon as the rail on the left side ends pull a hard left powerslide off the road.
5. Donkey Jungle Park
Near the beginning of the race is a self-propelling ramp which sends your racer across a giant river. This one is quite simple. Instead of jumping straight off it, aim to the far left.
